LOVE THIS a layout from September Kit Blush (SOD)

I've been so enjoying my September kit from Scraps of Darkness called Blush, featuring Prima Rossibelle Collection. 

Below is my layout titled LOVE THIS. I wanted to do an older picture of my sister and I. It was a good day and we were being silly.

I think these papers went so well with it.

First you can see in this picture I used some Creative Embellishments Chipboard for this page. I altered it by painting it with some Tim Holtz Distress Stains. Then I painted some Shimmerz - Inklinz Watercolors on top. I did use a light purple on the left end.

Here you can see some modeling past I put to the left of the layers and just lightly went over it with some Tim Holtz ink and then some Shimmerz - Inklinz Watercolors in a seafoam green color.

Here were a cluster of flowers I used from the Prima Rossibelle Collection and just lightly kissed them with some Shimmerz - Inklinz Watercolors.

Here I added another accent with modeling paste and Shimmerz - Inklinz Watercolors.

In the top left I used the Tim Holtz stencil and ink and some modeling paste and lightly grazed the top with some Shimmerz - Inklinz Watercolors . I also wanted to use some Prima bling to jazz up the page.

Here's a step back from the top left corner so you can see the bling and stencil work. I did separate the flower from the bling assortment.

Here you can see the final layout. I worked heavy on the top corner so it curved up a little. Have you found that happening to you?  I enjoyed working with the Prima Rossibelle Collection.

Zeus and Zoe Design Team Work - Life at Sea

Happy New Years Crafters!

I decided to enter 2 challenges that I haven't played in before. I got out my Zeus and Zoe kit and it was a perfect fit to make this layout.
Here is the layout:

In the above I wanted to show the StencilGirl stencil (Seashells) along the bottom border before adding to the rest of the layout. In first picture the light blue is using my Shimmerz: Texturez in Patina. The Sandy color shell is a mixture of modeling paste and Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Color Shot : Opal Sea Oats, the one following is from the same maker but a different color of Frosty Forest Green. The last seashell is done in Gelatos of a coral color.

The photo to the left here shows a flower from my ZZ DT pack and a flower from Tresors De Luxe in a pretty green.

This picture shows the other creamy flower from Tresors de Luxe, a badge from 3rd Eye, some Prima goodies. From ReneaBouquets Etsy shop you can see her butterfly and frosty seafoamy green flower.

Below you can see my Dusty Attic Chipobard that I altered using my White Pearlescent Smooch. Beside that is another 3rd Eye Badge.

The first challenge that I designed this layout for to enter is at Scrap Around The World .
Here is the gorgeous mood board. I love these colors. My kit had many goodies that complimented this board. I used a doily whose edge looked like netting. I also tried to capture some of the soft colors presented below.

The second challenge that I am entering my layout is over at Once Upon A Sketch. I thought to combine these great colors with this fun sketch!  Here is the sketch:

Lesson Learnt: I have a tag to the left under the photo...journaling about my brother at sea while serving the US Navy.. the freedoms we have and so on. I know he learned alot while serving as did I when I served. I really wanted to leave a heartfelt thought behind the picture.

Army of One at Scraps of Darkness

This just in... I got featured with this Layout at About A Boy! How Awesome. Thank you.!

The June Kit over at Scraps of Darkness is called Firecracker. I just love that title for some reason.

This layout I made is designed following their sketch and for their Round Robin. I LOVE these Bo Bunny Papers... this collection titled Anthem!  Here is the sketch designed by the fabulous Sue Pup.
I chose to use this super cute preschool picture of my son. I saved my leather Prima leather flowers because it tied in the leather jacket he's wearing.  I did find when I was using this one mask with some Lumiere paint it dried rather quickly so that it tore the paper...so I covered it up. Then I tried the Shimmerz Textuurez "Gritty Graphite and Brick Wall". It lasted longer and was more wet. I know to be more careful when using my Lumiere.
