Scraps of Darkness Blue Skies and Sunshine Layout -- Strength

Here's my final project friends with my Scraps of Darkness' Blue Skies and Sunshine Kit.

It just is perfect when working with these wedding photos.

I really loved this picture of my brother with his daughter... don't you?

I think I'll call this layout ... Strength..

I loved her silver sequined dress...

Here are a few close ups of my layout.... I love clocks so I was so happy to see a couple of clocks ready to be used.  You can also see a little punchwork I did on the side.

In this close up of the flowers... you can see where I did a little paint splatter and a little pink rose for her.

Here just above the flowers you can see a little silver trim.  really wanted to bring out her dress.

Had to make sure I got the buds in here.... wanted my layout to reflect soft and romantic..

Here you can see some paint effects...

Here you can see my latest chipboard alterations. I used the gun metal grey embossing powder for the chipboard.

Here you can see the row of flowers and the silver peeking out from behind.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you are finding time to scrap.

I want to give a shout of thanks to Di Garling. She was my inspiration for this layout. Her video is here.

Scraps of Darkness Blues Skies and Sunshine Layout.. Forever in my Heart.

Hello my scrappy friends.....

Today I'm bringing another yummy page created with the Blue Skies and Sunshine from Scraps of Darkness.

Here is my layout... from my brother's wedding. I love this photo.

I feel like all these awesome sentiments are so appropriate..

The blue fern chippies are fabulous.

Here you can see some prills and some glitter glass

She's forever in my heart... I can totally hear him thinking this.

I feel the sentiments in this kit really resonated with the day.

I had fun using the black paint. Can you tell?

Love the butterfly.  I also used some stencils from my stash.

This last sentiment says it all..... This is What Happy Looks Like.

Marilyn Rivera was my inspiration for this page. Here is her Video.

Scraps of Darkness Blue Skies and Sunshine Tags

Hello Friends...

I'm back again with another project from the Scraps of Darkness' Blue Skies and Sunshine Kit.

I decided to make a set of tags.

I fell in love with those scrabble tiles and couldn't want to use them.

Here are the tags.

I loved using the chippies that came in the kit and the yellow doily.

Below are some close ups of both tags.

Here you can see how I started the background. I mixed some blue paint in with some modeling paste and then stenciled it on.

Here below you can see a few different angles.

I love adding cheesecloth and that yellow doily.

A butterfly along with the glitter glass.

Another few angles and a few flowers.

I painted the Blue Fern chipboard. It was so pretty.

I went crazy with the splaters... I did white, yellow and black.

Wasn't that neat the metal piece.

Thank you so much for looking. You can go in so many directions with this kit.

Make sure to check out the store because we DO have some of the add on's still available.

Scraps of Darkness Blue Skies and Sunshine Layout

Hello there crafty friends. Here you will find my layout I created using the

As soon as I saw the colors I was like this will be perfect for my brother's upcoming nuptials. They had such a beautiful wedding. It was outdoors and just a perfect day. I've waited patiently for the pictures to come in. Her colors were grey, white and yellow!! You can bet I will be doing several projects with these fabulous photos from such a spectacular wedding filled with love.
My brother Robert and his new bride Samantha his high school sweetheart.

Now lets take a closer look.
Here I used the the circle chipboard from Blue Fern Studios. The flower was also included in the kit.
I painted the chipboard white. The other chipboard was from my stash and I heat embossed it in gunmetal grey.

On this next photo you can see I used some grey splatters to help accent the page. There is a spatter of some yellow as well. I chose to use a stencil from my stash to make this cool graphic. I also used the stamp that came with the kit. You will also find the blue Ice Resin sparkles. I love those things.:

Next up is a section of the layout where I used more chipboard from my stash that I painted with white gesso. I edged the chipboard with the blue ink that came in the kit. I layered the picture on top of some burlap looking ribbon. Underneath the chipboard you can see more splatters and some of the blue Ice Resin sparkles.

Next up is another chippie from my stash that I heat embossed with gunmetal grey. I also placed some beads with modeling paste. I also once again put some blue Ice Resin sparkles. I just loved sprinkling those all over the page. I also made a small tear at the bottom of the page and tucked in a little lace.

Next up is the flowers that were included in the kit. I wanted to tuck them in the corner to bring out the white and green as seen in the photo.

Make sure to check out the store because we DO have some of the add on's still available.

I have to say I was inspired by Gabrielle Pollacco's layout I discovered on Youtube. Here is her video.
