NotePad Holder

I was inspired by Xyron's Pinterest board. I wanted to make a birthday present for my coworker and I came across this. I thought it was a neat idea.
It was very easy to make.

Supplies used:
3rd Eye Stamp : TES-013 WIND CORNER. Visit 3rd Eye Online Store for World Wide Shipping.
The butterfly is from Ms. Renea's Esty... ReneaBouquet
KinderStampo - Vintage Findings Brass Charms  Visit KinderStampo's Store.
The paper is from the Nov 2011 Scraps of Darkness- Purple Haze Kit.
I believe the paper was from BoBunny Garden Girl Collection
Stazon Black
Zots
The Acrylic frame is from The Dollar Tree.
Here's a couple of Pics for my neat Note Pad Holder.:

Using Black Stazon with my 3rd Eye Stamp

I tried using WHITE Stazon with my 3rd Eye Stamp.. it wasn't as visible as I wanted.

Renea's wonderful butterfly and KinderStampo's Vintage Findings Brass Charms

The finished holder.

Thank you for looking.
This was a neat spur of the moment trial. I can't wait to make more. The perfect little gift.
Have a great weekend.
Blessings and

~Scraps of Darkness~ Live - Nov RR Entry

Yep.. Round Robin time again over at Scraps of Darkness.
I'm so excited.. I got to use my new DUSTY ATTIC .. that I bought here!!
I am also still using the lovvvvvely butterflies  and gears that I won from Renea's awesome site  My Glitter Coated Life.
I also used a new stamp set from KINDERSTAMPO called Grungy Inspiration.

I got my hands on a Zutter finally .. boy it sure worked faster than me doing it by hand.. it was a little louder than  I expected and I had orange paper flying hahahhahahhaha but I realllllllly like it.
I love love that I got to use my Dusty Attic. Well worth the wait!
It was my son's idea to paint that one piece black that is at the corner of my nephew's picture. I love getting his opinion and including him as much as possible.

My brother, Ariel, took this picture of our nephew while at the park. He was having a good time with this other kid. I love how red it is. He was on an adventure for sure!

Here comes the close ups:

Grungy Inspiration Stamp from KinderStampo!

The black painted DA chippie love it and my stitching!
Live : The final product
I forgot to mention I used my SEW EASY AGAIN.. for the stitching at the top. Still getting the hang of it.  oh oh and I used my new CRICUT ORNAMENTAL IRON 2.. I want to cut and cut! Love it.

KinderStampO Guest Design Team Day!

Yes the day has arrived. Yes hoorayyyyyyyyyy!

Thank you for stopping in and taking a look. I have the Creative Chaos set of stamps which can be found here: KinderStampO

Ok so at first I was trying to make this cool 3-d tree. I had made a smaller one for this cool swap I was doing and it stood up perfectly.. well I thought I want a giant tree.. I did FIT TO PAGE on my Cricut. That sucker was over 9 inches!! I inked it and stickled it and made cute spiders and bats and my words were dangling from the tree.. only to watch it FALL OVER. ......... sad face.. So in an effort to save my tree I tried to take pictures of it. Here are my attempts.. using my super cool stamps..

See the dangling letters..

my happy spider...

oh well and why yes that is a limited edition TH holiday ink
so I had to salvage my letters ..it was too late at night.. so I reinvented the wheel and made this next item.:
TA DAH .. SPOOKY GATE!

why yes .. that is a limited edition TH fall color.. purple..(not official name) and black roses

Now of course you can get better close up's at her KS's website

I was trying to show the black diamond stickles.
I love the versatility you can get from this set. I will now include a pic of an earlier project that I did using this SAME set!

My newest Niece, Kinslee
There ya have it! It can be spooky or sweet.. or even more.. it's all up to you. As far as that tree goes.. I'm thinking I"m gonna eventually try the cereal box route (aka homemade chipboard) and see if my tree will stand up with stronger material!
Now remember you can see more fabulous products here: KinderStampO .
Stay tuned until NEXT THURSDAY.. because then you get to meet another fabulous member of the Guest Design Team. Don't forget to check out the daily projects that Jess has going at www.kinderstampo.com . Come join the fun.

Thank you for sharing this adventure with me.

Stalker Challenge August 21-September 21 at Scraps of Darkness

Well over at Scraps of Darkness .. this was the challenge:

This month's challenge invites you to stalk the internet for a card sketch, card artist, or the recesses of your mind for an idea to help you to come up with a card. The card doesn't have to be anything fancy or elaborate, I just want  you to try something new or if you already make cards to share what you know. If you do lift another artist be sure to give them credit.
The Rules:
1. Use at least 50 % Scraps of Darkness product. This can be kit product or store product.
2. Make the card using scraps leftover from another project.
3. Use distressed layers.
4. Include some fussy cutting
5. The most important rule of all-HAVE FUN!!

I used a sketch from KINDERSTAMPO from last Wednesday: http://www.kinderstampo.com/2011/09/introducing-sketchy-wednesdays.html

I definitely used some scraps. This was just thrown together tonight so bear with me.

I really like that corner metal piece.

I love blue and brown

trying my hand at fussy cutting

I couldn't think of anything short to say on the bottom.

I used my Tim Holtz Regal Folders.
I inked a lot with Vintage Photo.
I included some rub-on's.The woman figure is from The Graphics Fairy.
Thanks for looking.

Happy Scrappn!

I'm excited to be a part of this team! I look forward to creating with you all. I'm sure we will be blown away with the talent found on this team! Don't forget to check out  KinderStampO's products and let's see what the teams come up with!! Let's continue on with this hop shall we?

Live
Craft
Inspire
Live: I live to scrap; to create!  I live a very interesting life with my son, David. He'll turn 13 next month! Yikes a teenager! I can't believe I'll be 40 this month!!!!  I love to scrap. I love to scrap everything. I've learned from CraftySprinkles a new term called "Mixed Media Artists". I like that. I like to try everything. What do you like? I hope you'll tell me and share with me your creations.
Craft:    My Craft style is ever changing. I'm currently learning about layering and masking.  I love so many styles out there.. I started scrapbooking when I returned home from the serving in the US Army. I wish I had taken more pictures back then. Since coming home I've taken up a bigger interest in photography and I've tried my hand at painting some acrylic and oil. I took a class at the local Hobby Lobby by a certified teacher of the technique "One Stroke Painting" by Donna Dewberry. Man I love her show.! Well her's and Bob Ross!!  I've painted a paper bags and wooden plaques.  My interest shifted again towards scrapbooking in early 2000. I've been hooked ever since. My favorite tool currently is my Cricut! What's yours?
Inspire:  I find inspiration from everything.. I love online galleries, to the magazines I still get in the mail. I find tons of inspiration from my followers. Some of these folks are published, design team members, and none of the above, but all artists at heart. I see some great work from these guys and gals and it inspires me to try new things and to go outside my comfort zone; to get out of my own way and just try! I really want to document and share life around me and my family. My Son is my favorite subject to scrap. I hope you find inspiration and try something new today. And always .. scrap from your heart. Scrapbooking makes me happy.. I especially love shopping for the craft hahahhahahahhaha. Who doesn't love the shopping part??????????.  So tell me.. what inspires you?
