Sneak peek

Here's a little something that is going up a little later today on the Art Anthology blog.

No first day of school pics here due to the rain and feeling like running late. Oh yes the bus was 10 minutes late.
Gotta love that!!

It's a happy little tag that made me think of my boy when he started Kindergarten.

Hope on over to Art Anthology to check it out.

I used a Stencil Girl Stencil, and Close To My Heart Stamps. The colors were all from Art Anthology.

That's all for now. happy scrappn!

Zeus and Zoe Design Team Work - Life at Sea

Happy New Years Crafters!

I decided to enter 2 challenges that I haven't played in before. I got out my Zeus and Zoe kit and it was a perfect fit to make this layout.
Here is the layout:

In the above I wanted to show the StencilGirl stencil (Seashells) along the bottom border before adding to the rest of the layout. In first picture the light blue is using my Shimmerz: Texturez in Patina. The Sandy color shell is a mixture of modeling paste and Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Color Shot : Opal Sea Oats, the one following is from the same maker but a different color of Frosty Forest Green. The last seashell is done in Gelatos of a coral color.

The photo to the left here shows a flower from my ZZ DT pack and a flower from Tresors De Luxe in a pretty green.

This picture shows the other creamy flower from Tresors de Luxe, a badge from 3rd Eye, some Prima goodies. From ReneaBouquets Etsy shop you can see her butterfly and frosty seafoamy green flower.

Some more close ups from Renea's flower and butterfly and the creamy flower from Tresors.

Below you can see my Dusty Attic Chipobard that I altered using my White Pearlescent Smooch. Beside that is another 3rd Eye Badge.

The first challenge that I designed this layout for to enter is at Scrap Around The World .
Here is the gorgeous mood board. I love these colors. My kit had many goodies that complimented this board. I used a doily whose edge looked like netting. I also tried to capture some of the soft colors presented below.

This is the link to that challenge: SATW JANUARY 2014 CHALLENGE 9.

The second challenge that I am entering my layout is over at Once Upon A Sketch. I thought to combine these great colors with this fun sketch!  Here is the sketch:

Lesson Learnt: I have a tag to the left under the photo...journaling about my brother at sea while serving the US Navy.. the freedoms we have and so on. I know he learned alot while serving as did I when I served. I really wanted to leave a heartfelt thought behind the picture.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I hope you check out Zeus and Zoe's Shop for any of your embellishment needs.
Also feel free to participate in either or both of the challenges: Scrap Around The World and Once Upon A Sketch.

Happy Scrappn 2!

Hello and hope this finds you having a super crafty day! Below you will find my CANVAS.

Over at Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS) the challenge this time is to incorporate a SNOWFLAKE into your work.

I thought instead of a card I would use snowflakes on a canvas. I found this really cool stencil from StencilGirl. I also found my super cool snowflakes stamps and badges from 3rd Eye. I used my Cameo to cut out my Snowflake. There were so many options to choose from, it was hard to stop at one. I should have chosen a bigger canvas to go snowflake crazy on!!

Here is the final product:

I will include some close ups so you can see all the fun I had.

Supply list:
Paper Temptress  Lustre Package
StencilGirl Snow Storm Stencil
3rd Eye Snowflake Badge TEBS007 and Crystal SnowflakesStamp - TES-183

There ya have it. I hope you will join us for these next two weeks and pop a snowflake onto one of your projects. Is it snowing where you live? Do you have any great photos involving you or your loved ones in the snow? I can't wait to have you join us in this challenge. Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's inspiration. Paper Temptress - Snowflake

Hello Crafters

Today's my day up on the Paper Temptress Blog.
The piece I'm showing today is the first half. The rest of the project can be seen when it goes live on my blog on Friday.
The focus on this piece is Snowflake.
I am using the Laser Lustre package to make these pieces. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the scalloped circles and cut the letters with this pretty font that had snowflakes embedded into the letters.

In the close up you can see the two different Lustre papers I used.

In these next 2 close ups you can see my 3rd Eye Snowflake Badge and stamp and my Viva Decor Metallic Rubs on my StencilGirl Snow Storm stencil.

Look out below! :)

In the above you can see what I cut on the Cameo focusing on my Paper Temptress Specialty Papers. Paper Temptress papers can help you with any project you come across.

ROCK STEADY... RR entry for SOD

I had forgotten that I had signed up for the RR over at Scraps of Darkness back in October for the November round. Luckily everyone needed an extension so I was able to contribute my entry. Hooray!! I used my JULY kit of the month Gypsy Summer. Papers used were Graphic 45- Bohemian Bazaar and My Mind's Eye - Collectable Collection.

Here are a few close ups:

In this photo I used my heat embossing powder from Close To My Heart : Sunny Yellow and my 3rd Eye Stamp - Rose.

In the above photo ... I used my EXCLUSIVE StencilGirl  Stencil... and my awesome LAVA RED  InkaGold Metallic Rub! It worked beautifully with this stencil.

Using another EXCLUSIVE StencilGirl Stencil from the month of October;this time using Lime Green InkaGold Metallic Rub.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut my Graphic 45 paper to make this butterfly and the round circle image behind the photo and topped off the butterfly with Stickles. I also used Heidi Swapp Color Shine : Black Velvet on this cardboard as well as several Gelatos.

I just got these letters from my friend Margaret!! Thank you! I've loved my Tim Holtz Industrial Stickers.

Here is the final  layout:

Here's the tag that Ms Marivic sent me. It's gorgeous!!! I was inspired by Agnieszka Bellaidea .
I had so much fun designing around these colors with my 7Dots Studio papers -Wonderland.

I love the colors on this tag!

Here are a few closeups:

I used some Vintage Trinkets from Prima. My friend Cathi O'Neill sent me some pretty flowers. I colored one of the white ones with Lindy Stamp Gang -Industrial Chic - Steel Shimmerz

In the above photo I used my Stencil Girl Butterfly Stencil newly designed by Maria McGuire. I used my ShimmerZ -TextureZ in Gritty Graphite.

I loved the expression of the woman in the photo (found on Flickr - not mine) reminded me of the cameo.

In this picture you can see the tag again and Gina's Design's Chipboard that I heat embossed.

Dare to dream: Lady in the Blue House

This is a page I created using my August and September Stencil Girl Stencils.
I loved all the wonderful shapes from my August set and September featured Frida
I haven't taken an art journal class but the creative team over Stencil Girl provides much inspiration. I thought I would give this a try.
Check out Stencil Girl right here!
Check out more about the Stencil Girl Club here.
My page is titled Dare to Dream: Lady in the Blue House.

Here are a few closeups :

In the above you can see the leaves and I used my green copic marker. I traced Frida on some Donna Salazar mixed media paper.

Below you can see in this close up a bit of the parrot stencil on top of the windows of the blue house and the right side of Friday:

In this closeup I used green glitter glue and some Tim Holtz inks: lawnmower green and pickled raspberry, I also use my brown acrylics to paint the monkey peeking over the edge of the house:

In this closeup is the right side and I wanted a bit of sunshine yellow to shine down on my house, this rose and leaf were colored using my Gelatos:
DARE TO DREAM
In this piece you can see I painted her name using my Texurez and if you look at it just right it looks like the monkey has it tongue out.. but I didn't mean for that to come out that way lol:

Now you can meet Frida ... DARE TO DREAM: LADY IN THE BLUE HOUSE.

I really loved watching the videos and posts by all the artists over at Stencil Girl. I like how they traced her on printed paper.
Thanks for looking.
Happy Scrappn!
